I came to my yoga practice about 6 years ago after suffering a traumatic brain injury. A friend suggested that I try yoga and took me to my first class at McKinley Park. After a few months of classes in the park, I noticed my mind and body getting stronger. If I were to have to rebuild my life and my identity, yoga was an awesome tool and teacher. After 6 years of Yoga in the Park, and studio classes around town, I have developed a deep love for my practice and my Yoga in the Park experiences. Additionally, the park is very special to me. In college, 5 of us shared a house across the street. My husband and I were engaged there, we took our babies to play there, and now I practice yoga there with the incredible Yoga Moves Us community.
